A Tyne Valley wedding. The Tyne Valley is a truly amazing place for wedding photography. Once you have been there and experienced it, it will never leave you. The peace and tranquility of its idyllic ancient woodlands and open spaces are breathtaking. It is the home of Hadrian’s Wall. You will fall in love forever with Northumberland.
The barn is owned by the Cripps group. This is where Sonny and Joanna chose to celebrate their beautiful wedding, at the wonderful Healey Barn. Healey is near Corbridge in the Tyne Valley, set in the most peaceful countryside, with beautiful, open views to the south, yet under 20 miles from the centre of Newcastle. The Barn stands alone in stunning surroundings. The Long Barn is like a fairytale, fairy lights, and fireplaces that leads out to an open courtyard.The day
The day
First of all, Joanna and her bridesmaids got ready in Angel in Corbridge. Sonny, her husband to be got ready at the Lord Crewe with his best men and ushers. Both bride and groom looked amazing once they were ready. We captured some lovely images of this part of the day.
The ceremony took place in the afternoon at the barn and it was very sweet and full of love and laughter.
We then took the couple off for a private shoot together. Lots of fun was had to capture the happy couple alone, together. It was then back to their guest for cocktails and mingling. Sonny and Joanna then made their grand entrance to the wedding breakfast. They cut the cake and had speeches.
