Cyprus Wedding Photography at The Liopetro, Kouklia, Cyprus
THE VENUE
Cyprus Wedding Photography Liopetro. Once again we were welcomed back by Makis and Ifigenia to their beautiful venue in the village of Kouklia. This place is special to us too as we live very close by and we have become great friends with all the staff. A circular terrace overlooks the sea, that twinkles in the sunlight. Surrounding the venue are the ancient ruins of Kings. A small chapel remains and the wedding ceremony was held here in traditional style. This is a gorgeous venue for sure and truly Cypriot.
THE DECORATIONS
Gorgeous white hydrangea, pink, and white floral decorations dotted the venue. Elegant white chairs with goldfish bowls full of white flowers adorned the guest tables. Also, fairy lights around the terrace created the magical setting for Marco and Anastassia’s special day.
THE PREPARATIONS
Anastassia prepared for her special day with her bridesmaids at the venue. There is a room especially for this at this venue. First of all, came the hair and makeup for all of the girls and then she was helped her into her wedding dress. The dress was a simply stunning one, with a beautiful lace pattern, a line skirt, and in addition a low back. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in their nude pink dresses. Simple hand tied posies of roses with ribboned handles finished off the look. Anastassia looked glowing and radiant.
Marco got ready at another venue not too far away. He was also joined by his groomsmen and his best man. The were nerves and also laughter. Marco looked lovely in his navy blue suit.
THE CEREMONY
Finally, as the guests gathered and took their places in the chapel, Marco waited with his best man. Anxious and excited to see Anastassia for the first time as a Bride. She walked down the aisle on her father’s arm and when she saw Marco, happiness and smiles erupted on her face and the traditional ceremony began. Rings were exchanged and promises made. It was a very touching ceremony and we loved capturing the emotions. A hurricane of confetti was thrown at the couple outside the church. We love a great confetti shot.
THE BRIDAL PORTRAITS
We whisked Marco and Anastassia off after the group photographs and took them to grounds and surrounds of the venue. They also posed by the Rolls Royce hired for the day. We captured some lovely shots of them and the light was truly magical for this part of the day. Most of all, this is one of our favourite parts of a wedding day. To have the couple alone and create lasting and beautiful memories.
THE RECEPTION
Time for the wedding breakfast! This was set up in the round courtyard over looking the sea. The set up was simple and stylish, with simple china and crystal glasses. Centerpieces of roses, hydrangea, and foliage with sat on each table. Marco and Anastassia’s wedding cake was three tiered with elegant scroll accents. The food served was really tasty and everyone seemed to enjoy it all. In addition to the meal were speeches and cake cutting. While the guests finished their desserts we took the couple off for a sunset shoot in and around the venue and as a result capture some stunning shots.
THE EVENING
The Party! Marco and Anastassia’s wedding finally finished with dancing. Also, there was a Money Dance and plenty of joyful laughter. Lots of dancing and fun as a result. It was truly a wonderful night!
SPECIAL THANKS
Special thanks are also to be given to Michael Antinou, who sang at their wedding and supplied the vintage car. He is an amazing guy and if you want to get in touch with him, here is a link to his Facebook page.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this maybe one of our most favourite Cyprus wedding photography venues. Most noteworthy is that the staff at Liopetro went above and beyond to make us feel welcome as always. Thank you.
