Amalfi Wedding Photography at the Cathedral and Reception at Hotel Santa Caterina

Amalfi Wedding Photography. We have been so excited to share this wedding with you. This is the very first time we as Beziique Destination Wedding Photographers have ventured to Italy to shoot a wedding. Italy is a beautiful country and we felt honored to be invited to shoot the wedding of Claire and Nuwan. We arrived a few days early to Italy. We explored a little of the area before the wedding and look out soon for a full blog on our travels to Rome too.

The Preparations

Claire began her wedding day full of excitement. They had chosen a really pretty place to begin the bridal preparations. Residenza Luce with its balcony looking out over the roof tops of Amalfi. First of all came hair and make up for Claire and her bridesmaids. Her mum and her little flower girl were also getting ready there too. Claire looked amazing in her dress which featured a classic a line style and lace details. She wore stunning Christian Louboutin sparkly shoes with the classic red soles. Her bridesmaids also looked so pretty in their beaded one shoulder dresses. A mix of pinks and white flowers in the bouquets made the whole bridal party look gorgeous. Nuwan with his groomsmen got ready at the Amalfi Luxury House, which was not too far away. He looked so handsome in his blue suit.

The Ceremony

This was held in the stunning Cathedral with its many steps outside. There are no words for how amazing this old building was. With ornate touches and traditional feel. Therefore the space inside was awe inspiring. Nuwan waited nervously for his bride who walked through part of the town and up the many steps to be with him. Her father gave his daughter away, it was a very emotional service. Vows and promises, rings and love were exchanged and then the couple emerged back on to the steps. A shower of confetti for the couple and then we took the formal group shots on the steps.

Bride and Groom

Then we whisked our couple away for a private Bride and Groom shoot once the formal shots have been done. Stealing them away to a lovely location right next to the cathedral and took some stunning images among the palms and white arches.

The Reception

Claire and Nuwan’s wedding reception took place at the Hotel Santa Caterina. Set on the very edge of the rugged Amalfi coast. The evening meal was in the restaurant that over looks the sea. With candles and sparklers, the evening went off bang. Good food, good company, and great live music. In conclusion, this was an amazing day for them and for us and we are so happy to have created the most amazing images.
