Edinburgh Destination Wedding
Leonnie and Andy had their Edinburgh destination wedding in March 2017.
Set in the heart of Edinburgh’s Dean Village is Well Court. Built in 1880 by Sir John Findlay who was the owner of The Scotsman newspaper. He wasn’t fond of the view of broken down tenement buildings which his own grand home overlooked, so he demolished them and built new homes for “a better class of working man” and Well Court Hall still has the main hall which was once used for reading and recreation.
The day
This is where we joined Leonnie to get ready for her special day. She had a beautiful dress and with her blond hair swept up in elegant waves, she glowed with happiness. Leonnie wanted to thank Jennifer Thomson who made her and the bridesmaid’s hair look amazing on the day.
Andy got ready at the Principal Edinburgh George Hotel. He had his groomsmen with him to help. We got some very cool shots of the guys in the style of the Bohemian Rhapsody video by Queen.
Such a fun and wonderful couple and an amazing venue.
The Mansfield Traquair was once a Catholic Church. Perfect for an Edinburgh destination wedding. It is located on the edge of Edinburgh’s historic New Town. It was designed by nineteenth-century architect Sir Robert Rowand Anderson and was completed in 1885. The most outstanding feature of the church is the vast mural painted by Scotland’s leading Arts and Crafts artist Phoebe Anna Traquair in the 1890s.
The building does not fail to impress. High gothic arches, murals, candles and the thousands of fairy lights hanging like glittering gems. The couple would like to make special thanks to the venue for their amazing day and also the following suppliers : Heritage Portfolio for the delicious food and Planet Flowers for the decor.
It was a simply stunning day. Aimie and I had the most amazing time in Edinburgh, and we wish Leonnie and Andy every happiness for their future together. We are so happy to have made some real magic on your special Edinburgh destination wedding. Words are not enough to describe it so we will let our pictures do the talking.
All our love from the team at Beziiqué.
