Mansfield Traquair Wedding Photography, Edinburgh

Mansfield Traquair is one of Scotland's most breathtaking wedding venues — a frescoed former church in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, often called "Scotland's Sistine Chapel" for the extraordinary hand-painted murals that wrap its walls and soaring vaulted ceiling. For UK couples who want the drama of a cathedral setting with the warmth of a city celebration, it is hard to imagine a more spectacular backdrop. As award-winning documentary wedding photographers, Nick and Aimie at Beziique love nothing more than telling the story of a day in a space this rich with atmosphere and light. You can see more of our work across the UK and beyond on our wedding venues pages and in our full portfolio.

About the venue

Mansfield Traquair is a stunning wedding venue in Edinburgh's New Town, not far from the heart of the city. This converted cathedral building is now a purpose-made wedding venue with ceilings that arch high above you and amazing murals painted on the walls.

The ceremony space can be decorated with thousands of fairy lights and warm glowing candles, creating a truly magical ambience. It is a very exclusive venue, truly spectacular, and the team is highly dedicated to making your wedding day the most special day of your lives.

Our approach to Edinburgh wedding photography

At Beziique, we believe that great Edinburgh wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill and asking the happy couple and their guests to smile for the camera. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your special day.

We work quietly and unobtrusively, following the day as it unfolds so that the real moments — the laughter, the tears, the quiet glances — are the ones you remember. A venue like Mansfield Traquair, with its painted ceilings and candlelit warmth, rewards this documentary style enormously, giving us layers of colour, texture and light to weave into your story. If you love this approach, you may also enjoy the relaxed country-hotel weddings we photograph at the Balmer Lawn Hotel in the New Forest, or the grand city celebrations we capture at the Landmark Hotel London.

  • How soon will we get our wedding photos?

Your full, hand-edited gallery is delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.

  • Do you travel to Scotland for weddings?

Yes, absolutely. Although Cyprus and Ibiza are home for us, we are based in the UK between destination seasons and travel throughout Scotland and the rest of the country for weddings we love. Mansfield Traquair is exactly the kind of venue we will happily make the journey for, and we are used to working in cities and venues all over the UK. Just get in touch with your date and we will let you know our availability and any travel details.

  • What's your photography style?

Our style is documentary and emotional — we tell the story of your day as it really happens rather than staging it. That means candid, natural moments, genuine emotion and an eye for the small details, alongside a handful of beautifully composed portraits when the light is at its best. With fifteen years and more than a thousand weddings behind us, we know how to stay unobtrusive while making sure nothing important is missed. You can see exactly how this looks across our portfolio.
