Be Our Guest: Checking Into Ultra-Luxe Napa Suites
As a Cyprus wedding photographer, we spend a lot of time recommending places to stay around the island — for guests, for pre-wedding nights, for honeymoons that don't involve a long-haul flight. Napa Suites, tucked into the hills above Ayia Napa, is the one we've been recommending most since we stayed there ourselves, and we liked it enough to extend our booking twice.
First Impressions
Ayia Napa is an easy drive from either Larnaca or Paphos airport, and the closer you get, the more the landscape shifts from farmland to whitewashed hotels and palm-lined roads. Napa Suites sits up in the hills above the main strip — close enough to walk into town for dinner, far enough to feel like you've properly checked out for a few days.
The Rooftop Everyone Comes For
First stop, always, is the rooftop. Napa Suites' infinity pool looks straight out over the rooftops of Ayia Napa to the sea, and the hotel's own rooftop bar, the Napaview SkyLounge, makes the most of that view properly, with loungers and cabanas built right up to the edge.
It's the kind of spot that gets better as the day goes on: sharp blue water at lunchtime, then the whole scene turning gold as the sun drops towards the water. We spent more hours up there than anywhere else during our stay, and we weren't the only ones.
Rooms With Real Style
Napa Suites is a 4-star, adults-only hotel, and the styling makes sense of that positioning — every room leans boutique rather than big-resort, with geometric accents, mirror finishes and a considered splash of colour against an otherwise clean, modern shell. Fifty-three rooms, each with its own balcony, and the finish held up to a genuinely close look.
The staff match the surroundings — attentive without hovering, the kind of service that makes a short stay feel like more than a short stay.
Cocktails and Sunset Views
The bar at Napa Suites is a proper one — marble-topped, well-stocked, and staffed by people who clearly enjoy the job. We're not exaggerating when we say the cocktails were some of the best we've had in Cyprus, best enjoyed chilled with that same rooftop sunset over your shoulder.
Nissi Beach, the white sand and turquoise water that shows up on half of Cyprus's postcards, is a short hop from the hotel and made an easy lunchtime escape most days of our stay.

Napa Suites is adults-only, which tells you who it's built for: couples wanting a stylish, quiet base in a town that's usually associated with anything but quiet. It works well as a honeymoon stop, a pre-wedding treat, or simply somewhere stylish to send guests staying on for a few extra days in Ayia Napa.
