Alassos Wedding Photography

Alassos is a private estate above the sea in Kissonerga, a few minutes outside Paphos — sweeping lawns and olive trees leading to a ceremony terrace that opens straight onto the Mediterranean. As award-winning Cyprus wedding photographers with fifteen years and more than a thousand weddings behind us, we know exactly where the light falls here through the day, and we would love to tell your story at Alassos. If you are still weighing up the area, our guide to getting married in Paphos sets the scene for the whole western coast.

About the venue

Alassos sits on a headland above the coast at Kissonerga, built around open lawns, mature gardens and a seafront terrace with an uninterrupted view out to sea. It is a private, exclusive-use estate, so the whole day — ceremony, drinks, reception and dancing — happens across the same grounds without anyone needing to travel between locations.

Ceremonies take place on the seafront terrace beneath a floral arch, with the Mediterranean as a backdrop for every row of seats. As the light turns gold in the evening, the lawns and gardens open up for portraits, and the reception unfolds under the stars with the coastline still visible beyond the tables.

Why we love Alassos

Whitewashed buildings, olive trees and cypresses at Alassos, Paphos

Alassos is the venue we recommend when a couple wants their ceremony to feel like it is happening on the edge of the sea without giving up a proper lawn for dancing afterwards. The terrace here catches the last of the afternoon light beautifully, and the gardens behind it give us real room to work through golden hour. It sits comfortably among the finest luxury Cyprus wedding venues we work at, and as one of the island's standout beach wedding venues it gives you a genuine sea view without needing sand underfoot. If you are comparing nearby Paphos options, it pairs naturally with the hilltop Liopetro a short drive away.

We photographed Olivia & Ashley's wedding here — a seafront ceremony followed by golden-hour portraits across the lawns — and it remains one of our favourite full days at this venue.

Our approach to Cyprus wedding photography

At Beziique we believe great Cyprus wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day. Our style is documentary and emotional: we follow the day as it unfolds, catching the glances, the laughter and the quiet in-between moments, then frame them against Alassos's lawns, terrace and sea view. You can see how that plays out across full weddings in our portfolio, and learn more about what we offer as your Paphos wedding photographer for the wider region.

We only ever take one wedding at a time, which means our full attention is on you — from the first cup of coffee on the morning of the wedding to the last dance under the stars. If you would like to talk through your day at Alassos, do get in touch; we answer every enquiry personally.

  • Can we have our ceremony on the beach or at our villa?

Yes. A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held anywhere you like — a beach, a garden, a clifftop, a private villa or a vineyard — because it isn't tied to the legal paperwork. If you want your actual legal wedding outdoors, many licensed venues can host the civil ceremony too; your planner will confirm what's possible at your chosen spot. Either way, Cyprus's beaches and landscapes make a breathtaking backdrop.

  • When is the best time of year to get married in Cyprus?

The most popular months are May–June and September–October, when temperatures sit around a comfortable 20–26°C and the light is soft and golden — ideal for photography. July and August are the hottest (often 32°C and above), so we recommend later-afternoon and sunset ceremonies in high summer. The shoulder seasons give the best light, while winter is the cheapest and quietest time to marry in Cyprus if you want an intimate, low-cost celebration.

  • How soon will we get our wedding photos?

Your full, hand-edited gallery is delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.

  • How much does a wedding in Cyprus cost compared with the UK?

A wedding in Cyprus is typically 30–50% cheaper than a comparable wedding in the UK, even once you factor in flights for you and your guests. Venues, catering, flowers and styling all tend to cost less, which means many couples get a more luxurious day for the same budget — or the same day for far less. Our Cyprus wedding cost guide breaks the numbers down in detail.
