Anassa Hotel Wedding Photography

The Anassa is, quite simply, one of the most beautiful places in Cyprus to marry — a five-star Thanos Hotels property on the unspoilt Latchi coast near Polis, built in the style of a traditional Mediterranean village and looking out across turquoise water toward the wild Akamas peninsula. For UK couples after refined, beachfront luxury without losing the raw drama of the Cyprus coast, it is hard to beat. As award-winning Cyprus wedding photographers with fifteen years and more than a thousand weddings behind us, we know exactly where the light falls here through the day, and we would love to tell your story at the Anassa. If you are still weighing up the area, our guide to getting married in Paphos sets the scene for the whole western coast.

About the venue

On the unspoilt Latchi coastline at the western tip of Cyprus, the Anassa is a 5-star Thanos Hotels property built in the style of a traditional Mediterranean village. Stone arches, landscaped gardens running down to its private beach, and a sweep of turquoise sea looking out toward the Akamas peninsula make it one of the most photographed wedding venues on the island.

Ceremonies typically take place on the beachside terrace overlooking the bay, with the reception in the gardens or one of the more formal indoor spaces. The hotel's weddings team handles the logistics start to finish, from blessing to evening reception.

Why we love the Anassa

The Anassa is the venue we recommend when couples want polished, refined Cyprus luxury without losing the sense of coast and landscape. The Akamas sits right behind the hotel, the beach is genuinely walkable, and the light here at golden hour is some of the best on the island. It sits comfortably among the finest luxury Cyprus wedding venues we work at, and as one of the island's standout beach wedding venues it gives you the rare combination of five-star polish and an honest, wild coastline. If you are comparing nearby Paphos options, it pairs naturally with the cliff-top Elysium and the seafront Almyra.

We've photographed Jade & Peter's celebration, Carly & Jack's modern romantic wedding and Alison & Daniel's elopement here — three very different days that all played to the venue's strengths in different ways.

Our approach to Cyprus wedding photography

At Beziique we believe great Cyprus wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day. Our style is documentary and emotional: we follow the day as it unfolds, catching the glances, the laughter and the quiet in-between moments, then frame them against the Anassa's gardens, terraces and beach. You can see how that plays out across full weddings in our portfolio, and learn more about what we offer as your Paphos wedding photographer for the wider region.

We only ever take one wedding at a time, which means our full attention is on you — from the first cup of coffee on the morning of the wedding to the last dance under the stars. If you would like to talk through your day at the Anassa, do get in touch; we answer every enquiry personally.

No matter where you are in the world, we would love to hear from you soon.

  • Can we have our ceremony on the beach or at our villa?

Yes. A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held anywhere you like — a beach, a garden, a clifftop, a private villa or a vineyard — because it isn't tied to the legal paperwork. If you want your actual legal wedding outdoors, many licensed venues can host the civil ceremony too; your planner will confirm what's possible at your chosen spot. Either way, Cyprus's beaches and landscapes make a breathtaking backdrop.

  • When is the best time of year to get married in Cyprus?

The most popular months are May–June and September–October, when temperatures sit around a comfortable 20–26°C and the light is soft and golden — ideal for photography. July and August are the hottest (often 32°C and above), so we recommend later-afternoon and sunset ceremonies in high summer. The shoulder seasons give the best light, while winter is the cheapest and quietest time to marry in Cyprus if you want an intimate, low-cost celebration.

  • How soon will we get our wedding photos?

Your full, hand-edited gallery is delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.

  • How much does a wedding in Cyprus cost compared with the UK?

A wedding in Cyprus is typically 30–50% cheaper than a comparable wedding in the UK, even once you factor in flights for you and your guests. Venues, catering, flowers and styling all tend to cost less, which means many couples get a more luxurious day for the same budget — or the same day for far less. Our Cyprus wedding cost guide breaks the numbers down in detail.
