About the venue
The Vasilias Nikoklis Inn is one of our favourite venues to photograph weddings in Cyprus. Traditional and family-run, the inn is set in a valley in the Diarizos region of Paphos. It was once a khan — a place for people to rest, feed their animals and take a welcome break from the Cyprus sun. Things have barely changed, and you will still see goat herders tending their flocks and Cypriot women hand-farming their olive trees with wicker baskets.
A family story
The building was originally given to the present owners, Tassos and Dora Konstantinou, as a wedding present. They had a dream to turn it into a wonderful taverna and, over many years, extended the building to what it is today. Vasilias is now run by the next generation of the Konstantinou family.
The inn sits near the village of Nikoklia on a bend on the west bank of the Dhiarizos river, with extensive views to the Troodos mountains and down to the sea.

When is the best time of year to get married in Cyprus?
The most popular months are May–June and September–October, when temperatures sit around a comfortable 20–26°C and the light is soft and golden — ideal for photography. The shoulder seasons give the best light, while winter is the cheapest and quietest time to marry in Cyprus if you want an intimate, low-cost celebration.
How soon will we get our wedding photos?
Your full, hand-edited gallery is delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.
How long do we have to be in Cyprus before the wedding?
There's no residency period, but you both need to apply in person at the town hall before the wedding. With ordinary notice you can marry at least 15 clear days after applying; a special licence costs more but lets you marry sooner — sometimes the very next working day.
