Galu Seaside Wedding Photography

Galu Seaside in Mazotos is one of the most relaxed beachfront wedding venues on the Larnaca coast, and a firm favourite with UK couples who want their toes in the sand rather than a ballroom around them. Sitting right on the water between Larnaca and Limassol, it pairs a barefoot, laid-back atmosphere with genuinely beautiful Mediterranean light — exactly the setting our documentary style was made for. We've photographed weddings here, we know the venue inside out, and we'd love to tell your story at Galu. If you're still mapping out the day, our guide to getting married in Larnaca is a good place to start, and you can see more of our coastal work across our portfolio.

About the venue

Galu Seaside sits right on the water just outside Larnaca, with a wooden terrace that runs almost to the shoreline. It started as a restaurant and grew into one of the most-loved relaxed wedding venues on the south coast — exactly the kind of place where the ceremony rolls straight into food, the sea behind every photo.

The setup is simple by design: a pergola for the ceremony, long tables under bougainvillea for dinner, and a sandy stretch a few steps away for portraits at sunset. No marble, no chandeliers — just sea, sky and good food.

Why we love Galu Seaside

We've shot multiple weddings here and the same thing always strikes us: guests don't stay in their seats. People drift between the bar, the beach and the dance floor all evening, which makes for natural, candid photos that feel like a really good summer party rather than a formal event.

If you want a Cyprus wedding that leans into the coast rather than fighting it, Galu Seaside is hard to beat. It's one of our favourite spots on any shortlist of Cyprus beach wedding venues, and the kind of setting that makes beach weddings in Cyprus so popular with UK couples in the first place. If you're weighing up other coastal options nearby, the Palm Beach Hotel in Larnaca and the relaxed Honeyli Hill near Larnaca are both worth a look on the same shortlist.

Our approach to Cyprus wedding photography

At Beziique we believe great Cyprus wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day.

As an experienced Larnaca wedding photographer team, we plan around the light at Galu — keeping the ceremony and group shots comfortable in the afternoon and saving the most relaxed, golden portraits for as the sun drops over the water. Our approach stays quiet and unobtrusive all day, so the photos feel like memories rather than poses. Timing matters more than most couples expect, so it's worth reading our guide to the best time to get married in Cyprus before you lock in a date.

  • Can we have our ceremony on the beach or at our villa?

Yes. A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held anywhere you like — a beach, a garden, a clifftop, a private villa or a vineyard — because it isn't tied to the legal paperwork. If you want your actual legal wedding outdoors, many licensed venues can host the civil ceremony too; your planner will confirm what's possible at your chosen spot. Either way, Cyprus's beaches and landscapes make a breathtaking backdrop.

  • When is the best time of year to get married in Cyprus?

The most popular months are May–June and September–October, when temperatures sit around a comfortable 20–26°C and the light is soft and golden — ideal for photography. July and August are the hottest (often 32°C and above), so we recommend later-afternoon and sunset ceremonies in high summer. The shoulder seasons give the best light, while winter is the cheapest and quietest time to marry in Cyprus if you want an intimate, low-cost celebration.

  • How soon will we get our wedding photos?

Your full, hand-edited gallery is delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.

  • How long do we have to be in Cyprus before the wedding?

There's no residency period, but you both need to apply in person at the town hall before the wedding. With ordinary notice you can marry at least 15 clear days after applying; a special licence costs more but lets you marry sooner — sometimes the very next working day. Most couples arrive about three working days early so there's time to sort out any paperwork. Our wedding FAQs explain the documents and fees in full.
