Charlotte + Nathan – Coral Beach Hotel, Coral Bay Paphos. Cyprus

Coral Beach Hotel, Coral Bay Paphos. Cyprus Wedding Photographer

Charlotte and Nathan chose Beziiqué to be their Coral Beach Hotel, Coral Bay Paphos. Cyprus Wedding Photographer, here is their story :

We met at school, Nathan was the year above me. He used to queue up for his class near to mine, and I had been crushing on him for a little while until he got in touch with my friend to ask for my name! Shortly after, we were boyfriend and girlfriend…12 years later we were man and wife!

Nathan had joined the army and was on tour in Afghanistan when he came back for his R&R break after 6months away. He took me into the city and we went on The Eye where he proposed at the top (accompanied by a portable speaker playing our favorite song).

It was a magical 2 weeks having him home until he went back to Afghanistan to complete his tour of duty. Thankfully, he returned safe and sound a couple of months later where we celebrated our engagement in the Dominican Republic. He chose my ring himself, it’s a beautifully classic white gold diamond solitaire which I still love. We had been together 5 years at the time of the proposal but I was still surprised and cried (a lot!)!

Tell us about your dress:

My dress was by Allure Bridal, which I got from Lori G Bridal in Derby. The ladies at Lori G were amazing from start to finish! I didn’t want to go with a typical “abroad dress” …I wanted the dreamy gown that you can only wear for your wedding. It has these amazing ruffles from the waist down, a delicate ivory lace top which was over a very soft pink bodice that came through only slightly. I loved it!

Nathan wore a 3 piece suit from Next. It was a very light stone colour, which was so fitting for Cyprus. He wore trousers, a waistcoat and a jacket for the ceremony and then changed into matching shorts for the reception. Both my dad and brother were both matching too. They all looked so handsome!

After planning our day for 2 years, we had collected lots of little bits to add to the decoration. We had set on a theme of very soft lilac and pinks, with gold glitter thrown in whenever we could! Our flowers were provided by our wedding planner and they were exactly what we asked for.

My bouquet was a mix of white, purple and soft pink roses while the bridesmaids were all white/creamy roses which looked amazing against the bridesmaids lavender dresses. We had heart shaped cookies with peoples names on for place settings, wooden “love” and “Mr & Mrs” tokens scattered on the table with gold confetti.

Our cake was AMAZING! The bottom tier was purple ruffles, and the top tier was all white. Our personalised topper came all the way from Venezuela…and I ordered it 8months before the wedding but it was so amazing! (I kept this a surprise for Nathan on the day and he loved that it included our little dog Rocky!) Rocky did also take pride of place on the ceremony table and on my flowers too, which was such a lovely way to include him when he was back in England.

We used Kerry from Cyprus Dream Weddings to plan our day, and she was nothing short of fabulous throughout the two years planning! She truly understood our vision for our day. Our day was everything we could have imagined.

Then we got married on the pier, which was just what we wanted – to be surrounded by the sea and sun it was perfect. We had the light up Mr & Mrs lights which set off the reception space too, and floor Fireworks that went off during our first dance!

For our evening entertainment, we also had Greek Dancers and they got EVERYONE up! It was literally the best decision to have them and I would seriously recommend them! The food was hands down the best meal we had all holiday. We had a traditional mixed meze and the courses didn’t stop coming! All the guests said the food was amazing, no one went hungry for sure!

What was the favorite part of your wedding day?

For me, it was the first time I saw Nathan at the top of the aisle. When he turned around, his reaction was so lovely…I just couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be marrying him.

We were lucky enough to visit Cyprus to see lots of venues but Coral Beach has everything we wanted. The pier was the selling point for sure…being able to be so close to the water was amazing. The tavern for the reception was so traditional and beautiful, with flowers flowing from the ceiling and the view of the sea was just to die for. We loved the location of Coral Beach too as all our family and friends were able to stay close by.

I think we just wanted lots of flowers and sparkle – everything else just fitted in! Suppliers: Richie Roo Designs – provided a beautiful sign in the memory of Nathan’s grandparents. The Wedding Pod – supplied little favour tags and sparklers. eBay(!!!!) – I made fans personalised with our names and wedding date, we had a beautiful ring box made which was engraved too.

 Food/Music Evening Entertainment/ Dj / Fireworks:

Our first dance was Ed Sheeran – Perfect. The first time I heard it, it moved me to tears and Nathan loved it too. The fireworks were so good, and just gave it a little something extra!

Come to Cyprus for sure! We were so lucky to be able to create our dream day and we wouldn’t change a thing. Do your research into suppliers as these will really make your day. If you do this, you have no reason to stress! Enjoy all the little moments of the day and as much as your able, don’t compromise!

Fantastic!!! They honestly kept us laughing the whole day – especially Aimie! It was so easy to put our complete faith in them to capture our wedding day and we did feel like we had known them years by the end of our day. We would both highly recommend them (as would our family!)
