Alana & Luke's Underwater Cyprus Sea Caves Trash the Dress Shoot

"We chose to get married in Cyprus because of the amazing weather," bride Alana explains. "Minthis Hills was the first venue we looked at and it was literally love at first sight."

A Cyprus wedding in the hills

"We styled the venue with a dusky rose colour scheme to complement the greenery in the grounds. My sister Krystal was my bridesmaid and wore an Oasis dress in the same shade — she looked stunning." Two groomsmen joined Luke wearing dapper navy suits, while their son embraced the important role of pageboy.

"I stalked Nick and Aimie's work on Facebook and got in touch with Nick right away. We booked a trash the dress shoot for the day after the wedding. It was incredible."

Cyprus wedding photography with a difference

While this couple's trash the dress wishlist took us to the coast, we did not dive into the water straight away. Instead, we headed for the clifftops. This gave us wide open, panoramic, unbelievably blue views to play with, and plenty of hidden nooks to hide coloured smoke flares.

The beauty of being a trash the dress photographer is that there is no need to worry about keeping clothes pristine, so we can be as creative as you want and capture those once-in-a-lifetime shots.

Trash the dress at the sea caves

Our work as a trash the dress photographer takes us to a whole host of different locations — from dusty desert landscapes that contrast a white wedding dress beautifully, to the Cyprus sea caves near Paphos — a much-loved location for us as Paphos wedding photographers — where rock plays an extra role, adding a warm glow around the glassy turquoise sea.

It almost always involves getting in the water too. These sea-level shots are total stunners, so behind the scenes we wrap up the camera and jump in ourselves to push the limits of photography and create dream images.

Sun and sea-splashed photos

The bride's Beskle Couture gown looked gorgeous in the sun-kissed, ocean-shimmering light thanks to its elegantly bohemian vibe.
