Sense by the Beach Wedding Photography, Paphos
Sense by the Beach is a newer, all-day seafront restaurant and beach club at Potima Bay in Kissonerga, just along from Coral Bay. It is relaxed rather than formal — shaded tables above the water, beach beds below and the waves of Potima breaking on the rocks — which makes it a good fit for couples who want a beach ceremony and a laid-back meal with friends rather than a ballroom. We are Nick and Aimie Wild, and since 2008 we have photographed weddings all over Cyprus. A sunset wedding here is something we would love to photograph.
About Sense by the Beach
Sense opened in summer 2025 on the site of a long-standing beach bar at Potima Bay, between Kissonerga and Coral Bay. The restaurant sits just above the beach, keeps the site's palm trees and has a large, mostly shaded seating area, with canopies and sunbeds on the sand below. Local press reviewing its first year described a wide menu running from brunch to Cypriot and international mains, pizza, pasta and sushi, and noted how busy it is with locals in the evenings. It is sometimes listed as Sense by the Sea.
For weddings, Paphos-based planners offer Sense by the Beach as a venue for beach ceremonies looking straight out to sea, with private areas for sit-down meals of roughly 20 to 100 guests. It is not an exclusive-use venue — the wider restaurant stays open — so it suits couples who are happy with a relaxed, sociable atmosphere.
Photographing a wedding at Sense
We have not photographed a wedding at Sense by the Beach yet, and we would love to change that. A restaurant setting like this suits the way we work: the day flows from ceremony to drinks to dinner without much formality, and the best photographs tend to come from the in-between moments — a toast, a joke between old friends, someone dragging the groom onto the dance floor.
Potima Bay faces west, so the sun sets over the water, and the rocks and surf along the bay give texture and movement to portraits. We would suggest a ceremony in the late afternoon, then slip away with you for ten minutes as the light turns gold, before the evening carries on. Our portraits are relaxed and gently guided, never stiff.

Sense operates as a public restaurant and beach club, and planners describe the wedding spaces as private areas within the wider venue rather than full exclusive use. If privacy matters to you, ask your planner what can be reserved for your group.
How many guests can Sense by the Beach seat?
Planners list private sit-down areas for roughly 20 to 100 guests. It is best to confirm numbers and layout directly, as the venue is still relatively new.
Can the legal ceremony happen on the beach?
A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held on the beach at any time. A legal civil ceremony outdoors needs a municipality-approved location and registrar, and planners note that registrar arrangements and fees are separate, so your planner or the venue will confirm what is possible.
Do you travel across Cyprus, or only around Paphos?
