City of Dreams Mediterranean Wedding Photography, Limassol
City of Dreams Mediterranean is unlike any other wedding venue in Cyprus: an integrated resort with around 500 rooms and suites, a casino, a large pool complex and a spa, opened in Limassol in 2023. For couples planning a glamorous, large-scale celebration where guests have plenty to do across a long weekend, it is a striking choice, and it also caters for much smaller parties. We are Nick and Aimie Wild of Beziique, and we would love to photograph a wedding at City of Dreams.
About City of Dreams Mediterranean
The resort is in Zakaki, on the western side of Limassol, a short drive from the city centre. Owned by Melco Resorts & Entertainment, it opened in summer 2023 and is billed as Europe's first integrated resort. Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and selected rooms and suites have sea-view terraces.
For weddings, the resort highlights three settings: a Grand Ballroom, a sun-drenched Event Lawn and a Roman-style amphitheatre, part of around 8,000 square metres of event space in total. Dedicated wedding planners look after the arrangements, and the resort says it hosts everything from intimate elopements to very large celebrations. The City of Dreams weddings page has the latest information.
Capturing a wedding at City of Dreams
City of Dreams is still a young venue, and we have not photographed a wedding there. We think that is part of the appeal: it offers settings that look nothing like a traditional Cyprus wedding, and we would relish working out how to make the most of them.
An amphitheatre is a wonderful space for a ceremony — tiered seating keeps every guest's face in view, which suits our documentary style, where reactions matter as much as the vows. A big ballroom brings its own energy once the dancing starts, and we are comfortable working in low, mixed light without flooding the room with flash. For portraits, we would scout the grounds for quieter corners away from the resort's busier areas.
Our portfolio gives a good sense of how we work, and we would be glad to hear your plans — just get in touch.
Getting married in Limassol
Limassol is Cyprus's second city and a lively place for guests, with a seafront promenade, the old town and a marina. Our guide to getting married in Limassol covers the local registry process, and the Cyprus wedding cost guide is a useful starting point when budgeting. We are Cyprus wedding photographers based near Paphos who often work in the city; our Limassol wedding photographer page tells you more.
If you would prefer a more classic seafront hotel, the Four Seasons is also in Limassol, while Columbia Beach Resort at Pissouri, west along the coast, offers a quieter beach setting.
Where can we hold the ceremony at City of Dreams?
The resort lists its Grand Ballroom, Event Lawn and Roman-style amphitheatre for weddings. A symbolic ceremony can be held in any of them; whether a legal civil ceremony can take place on site is something the resort's wedding planners or your own planner will confirm.
Is City of Dreams suitable for a large wedding?
Yes. The resort has around 8,000 square metres of event space and roughly 500 rooms and suites, so big guest lists and multi-day celebrations are well within its scope. Its wedding planners also arrange smaller ceremonies.
How long does the marriage paperwork take in Limassol?
You apply in person at the municipality. On ordinary notice the wedding is at least 15 clear days later (within three months), for €128 in 2026; a special licence at €282 lets you marry sooner, sometimes the next working day. Limassol adds €130 for Saturday or out-of-hours ceremonies.
What style of photography do you offer?
Natural and documentary: we capture the day as it happens and gently guide relaxed portraits. We have photographed more than a thousand weddings, and our work has been recognised with a WPE Silver Award and LUXlife Wedding Photography Team of the Year 2024 for Cyprus.
