Zambartas Winery Wedding Photography, Agios Amvrosios

Zambartas Wineries is a small, family-run boutique winery in Agios Amvrosios, one of the Limassol wine villages on the southern slopes of the Troodos. It isn't a wedding venue in the usual sense. The winery hosts private tastings and dinners for small groups rather than advertising weddings. For a couple planning a tiny celebration, a dinner the night after an elopement or a wine-filled gathering with close family, it could be something rather special. We are Nick and Aimie of Beziique, and an intimate day like that is exactly what we love to photograph.

About Zambartas Wineries

Akis Zambartas founded the winery in 2006 after years in the wine trade, and his son Marcos joined in 2008 after a master's in winemaking at the University of Adelaide. Marcos now runs it with his wife Marleen. The family works with old Xynisteri and Mavro vineyards alongside newer plantings such as Maratheftiko and Lefkada, and the wines have collected numerous medals in local and international competitions.

The winery's private events page describes gatherings for family, friends and colleagues in the tasting room, which holds 24–28 people depending on the set-up, with the veranda and grounds also in use. Food options run from canapés and cheese and charcuterie platters to a buffet lunch or dinner and a four-course Chef's Table paired with Zambartas wines. Weddings are not mentioned, so if you have a ceremony or wedding meal in mind, ask the family first whether they would host it and in what form.

Small celebrations, honestly photographed

We have never photographed a wedding at Zambartas, and as the winery does not advertise weddings, it may be that few couples have tried it. A group of twenty-odd people around one table, though, is one of our favourite things to document. There is no crowd to manage, every toast and teary glance is easy to see, and we can tell the whole story of the evening, from the first pour to the last glass on the veranda as the light fades over the hills.

For portraits, the vineyards and village lanes around Agios Amvrosios offer plenty of quiet corners, and the golden hour in the Krasochoria is lovely. Our portfolio gives a sense of how we capture relaxed, emotional days. If you're dreaming up something small and personal, get in touch; we would love to help shape it.

Getting married in Limassol

Many couples who choose an intimate wine-country celebration marry legally first, at a municipality, and then head into the hills. Our guide to getting married in Limassol covers the process, and our list of small and intimate wedding venues in Cyprus has more ideas for tiny celebrations. As Cyprus wedding photographers and a Limassol wedding photographer team, we are glad to work anywhere in the district.

If you would prefer a winery that does advertise full weddings, Tsiakkas Winery in Pelendri is well worth a look.

  • Does Zambartas Wineries host weddings?

The winery does not advertise weddings. It does host private events for groups of family and friends, with food from canapés to a four-course Chef's Table, so it could work for an intimate wedding meal or post-wedding gathering. Contact the winery directly to ask what they can offer.

  • How many guests could we invite?

According to the winery, the tasting room holds 24–28 people depending on the set-up and food option, so it suits very small celebrations rather than a full wedding party.

  • Where can we have the legal ceremony?

Legal civil weddings take place through the municipality, either at the town hall or at an approved location with a registrar. In Limassol in 2026, the ordinary licence costs €128 (marrying at least 15 clear days after applying) and the special licence €282, with €130 extra on Saturdays or out of hours. A symbolic blessing can then be held wherever you like, subject to the venue agreeing.

  • Do you photograph very small weddings?

Yes, and we love them. Over more than a thousand weddings since 2008, some of our favourite days have involved just a handful of people. Your full gallery is delivered within 6–10 weeks, or within 72 hours with our Premium Plus and Luxury collections.
