Oasis Gardens Wedding Photography, Paphos
Oasis Gardens is a modern-rustic wedding venue on the road between Chlorakas and Kissonerga, just north of Paphos, built around water: an infinity pool with a glass-topped ceremony platform, a cascading waterfall, and an olive garden strung with lights for dinner. It will appeal to couples who want a contemporary, design-led setting with plenty of room for guests and a party feel after dark. We are Nick and Aimie Wild of Beziique, photographing Cyprus weddings since 2008, and we would love to photograph a wedding here.
About Oasis Gardens
Oasis Gardens does not have its own website that we could find; it is offered to couples through Paphos wedding planners, chiefly Weddings in Paphos, and also appears in the Cyprus collection of Perfect Weddings Abroad. The details here come from those planners. Weddings in Paphos describes a gated venue with its own parking, a few minutes from the sea, combining contemporary design with rustic touches.
Its signature is the ceremony set-up: a glass-topped platform over an infinity pool, so that you appear to stand on the water, with a waterfall cascading behind. From there guests move to a cocktail area shaded by established grapevines, with its own bar, and then to a lawned olive garden lit with fairy lights and festoons for the reception. There is a bridal suite on site, a DJ area and dance floor, and an air-conditioned room for planning meetings.
The planner gives capacities of up to 120 guests each for the ceremony, the cocktail lawn and the olive garden reception, around 50 at the pool area, and up to 300 when the spaces are combined, and the venue can be booked for a ceremony, a reception or both. Because we could not verify these figures independently, please confirm them with your planner before you book.
Capturing a wedding at Oasis Gardens
We have not yet photographed a wedding at Oasis Gardens, so this would be a first for us, and a fun one. A ceremony over water is a gift for a photographer: reflections double the scene, the glass platform keeps the view clean, and the waterfall adds movement and sound that you can almost feel in the pictures.
Our way of working is quiet and observant. We would document the vows and the reactions of your guests from the edges, then follow the day under the vines and into the olive garden as the festoons glow brighter. For portraits, we would make the most of the olive trees in the softer evening light, and the coast at Chlorakas and Kissonerga is only a few minutes away if you fancy the sea in your photographs too.
Our portfolio shows how we tell a wedding story naturally, without stiff posing. If you are planning your day at Oasis Gardens, do get in touch and we will happily talk it through.
Getting married in Paphos
Chlorakas and Kissonerga sit just north of Paphos town, close to plenty of hotels and villas for guests and a straightforward run from Paphos airport. For the legal steps, timings and municipality paperwork, our guide to getting married in Paphos is the place to start, and the UK couples' guide to marrying in Cyprus covers everything from documents to budget.
As Cyprus wedding photographers who know this part of the coast well, we can also point you towards nearby alternatives: Alassos is a private estate above the sea in Kissonerga, and L'Chateau in Tala offers a hillside setting a short drive inland. You can learn more about us as a Paphos wedding photographer.
Where exactly is Oasis Gardens?
According to Weddings in Paphos, the venue is on the road between Chlorakas and Kissonerga, a few minutes from the coast, behind its own gated entrance with parking. Your planner will give you the precise location when you arrange a visit.
How many guests can Oasis Gardens host?
The planner lists up to 120 guests for the ceremony, the cocktail reception and the olive garden dinner, around 50 at the infinity pool area, and up to 300 across the combined spaces. Please check current figures with your planner.
Can we have a legal ceremony on the pool platform?
A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held anywhere, so the platform is ideal for one. A legal civil wedding outdoors must take place at a municipality-approved location with a registrar, so your planner or the venue will confirm whether that is possible at Oasis Gardens. Many couples complete the legal ceremony at the town hall and then hold their symbolic ceremony at the venue.
Do we need to live in Cyprus before we marry?
No. Cyprus has no residency requirement. You apply in person at the municipality, and with ordinary notice you can marry 15 clear days after applying; a special licence allows a sooner date, sometimes the next working day. In practice, most couples arrive around three working days before the wedding.
