Ktima Gerolemo Wedding Photography, Omodos
Ktima Gerolemo sits high on a hill outside Omodos, a family winery whose land opens out like a natural amphitheatre of vines, trees and mountain ridges. It is a romantic choice for couples who would trade the beach for a cooler breeze, golden evening light and wine poured by the people who made it. We are Beziique, husband-and-wife photographers who have covered more than a thousand weddings across Cyprus since 2008, and a vineyard celebration at Ktima Gerolemo is one we would truly love to document for you.
About Ktima Gerolemo
The Athinodorou family has been making wine around Omodos for decades, and their winery opened at the end of the 1980s on a 127-acre estate in rolling countryside about two miles north-west of the village. The family describes the setting as the top of the hill of Prophet Elias, surrounded by vineyards and mountain views, and the estate concentrates on indigenous Cypriot grapes, Xynisteri and Mavro in particular. Visitors come for tours and tastings, Sunday brunch in the bistro wine bar on the upper floor, and seasonal festivals.
Weddings are part of the offer too. The winery lists weddings and private events among its services, with summer gardens for open-air celebrations, and it works with catering partners and decorators to shape each event around its own wines. It does not publish guest capacities, so ask the family directly about numbers, layout and dates; their weddings and private events page is the place to start.
What we'd look for as your photographers
To be upfront, we haven't photographed a wedding at Ktima Gerolemo, but we can picture how it might feel. A hilltop vineyard gives you space and long views, which means wide frames of your guests against the Troodos foothills, and close, candid moments in the dappled shade of the gardens. Up here the sunsets come with real colour, and the vineyard rows are ideal for a ten-minute walk together while your guests settle in for dinner.
We work in a documentary way, following the day rather than directing it, then offering relaxed, lightly guided portraits when the light is right. You can see how that looks in our portfolio. If you are thinking about a wedding at Ktima Gerolemo, get in touch and let's talk it through.
Getting married in Limassol's mountain villages
Omodos belongs to Limassol district, about an hour inland from the city. Many couples complete the legal ceremony at a municipality and then celebrate at a winery, while others choose a symbolic ceremony in the vineyard; our guide to getting married in Limassol and our page on the best time to get married in Cyprus will help you plan. As Cyprus wedding photographers and an experienced Limassol wedding photographer team, we are happy to travel into the hills.
Comparing vineyard venues? Oenou Yi, also in Omodos, has a large outdoor square for bigger celebrations, while Vasilias Nikoklis Inn is another rural, village-style option across the district line near Paphos.
Does Ktima Gerolemo host weddings?
Yes. The winery lists weddings, baptisms and private dinners among its events and has a dedicated weddings page. It does not publish capacities online, so contact the family directly to check numbers and availability.
Where exactly is the winery?
It is just outside the village of Omodos in the Limassol wine villages, roughly two miles north-west of the centre, on a hilltop estate surrounded by vineyards. Omodos is about an hour's drive from Limassol.
What month should we choose for a vineyard wedding?
May–June and September–October are the sweet spots in Cyprus: comfortable temperatures and soft light for photographs. July and August are hot, even in the hills, so a late-afternoon or sunset ceremony makes the day far more comfortable for everyone.
Can we get a few photos back quickly?
Yes, if you choose our Premium Plus or Luxury collection, which include 72-hour delivery. Otherwise, your full gallery is delivered within 6–10 weeks, every image edited by hand.
